Since opening our first set of doors in 1971, our Willowbrook dental practice has gone through several transformations that have created countless smiles in the greater Hinsdale area healthier, and brighter. Meet Dr. Scott McCarty, and Dr. Ken Arrieta of McCarty Family Dental, your trusted dentists in Willowbrook.


Dr. Scott McCarty

Dr. Scott McCarty earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Universityof Illinois - Chicago, College of Dentistry in 2009. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. McCarty attended and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with his B.S. in Biology in 2005, graduating Summa Cum Laude. 

In private practice Dr. McCarty has gained extensive experience in all phases of general dentistry and keeps up to date with current technology and advancements in dental treatment. Dr. McCarty is committed to lifelong learning and has earned hundreds of hours of continuing education credits in various aspects of dentistry including implants, Invisalign, and sleep apnea treatment.

Dr. McCarty originally grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis Missouri. He currently lives in Naperville, Illinois with his wife of 10 years, Leah, and their four young children. His hobbies include traveling, movies, football and spending time with family and friends.


Dr. Ken Arrieta

Periodontist

As a Periodontist, Dr. Ken Arrieta believes that educating his patients is essential in the development of trust. He enjoys seeing that his patients are satisfied following their treatment.

Dr. Arrieta completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Chicago in 1987 where he earned a place on the Dean’s List. He then went on to continue his education at the Northwestern University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1992. Dr. Arrieta continued his training specializing in Periodontics (the treatment of gum disease) at the University of Iowa, and he received his Certificate in Periodontics in 1999. He served as a teaching assistant for Prosthodontics in dental school. Dr. Arrieta was the Block Drug Guided Tissue Regeneration winner in 1998. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Academy of Periodontology and he is a Fellow in the International College of Oral Implantology.

Dr. Arrieta resides in Illinois with his one child. In his spare time, he enjoys hockey, tennis, and swimming.
